Coyote Skull

For Christmas I had gotten a plastic dragon skull for my friend and he said I wouldn't get him an actual skull. Well, he was wrong! I bought a coyote skull and used micron pens to decorate it! (Fun fact, bone chips and dust will clog micron pens, but you can still use them if you very, very carefully cut part of the tip off.)

Stuck

Stuck is a series of bottles that I cleaned and filled with various objects that do not, or should not, go into bottles. We don't always get to choose where we are or where we end up, but the important thing is together we can make anything beautiful.

Phipps Phlowers - oil painting I’ve been really lucky and I’ve had a really good relationship with my Fine Arts teacher. Because of that I’ve liked to test the limits of what she said the rules are and one of the first rules she gave was to NEVER blend the paint on the canvas and to almost never use black. In Phipps Phlowers I broke both of those rules, haha. We took a trip to the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh so we could have real life inspiration for our nature painting project. We could either sketch the scene or flowers we wanted to paint or take pictures. I opted to take pictures. Once I was back in the studio I chose the picture I liked the best and figured out what it was I liked about it.
